TCAS - Help Wanted

Posted by ChristianAnimations1 - December 27th, 2023

Hello, animation fan!

We are casting for roles and jobs at ChristianAnimations Studios (e.g. The ChristianAnimations Show). TCAS, which stands for "The ChristianAnimations Show," is an original animated series that follows the story of a young boy named ChristianAnimations. He is an online animator passionate about creating an independent animated series. However, he faces numerous challenges along the way, including rivals, anti-animation groups, and mayhem in Mountain Street City.

Despite the obstacles, ChristianAnimations never gives up on his dream. With the help and support of his furry friends, he continues to work hard and push forward. The series is entertaining and inspiring, as it teaches viewers the importance of perseverance, creativity, and friendship.

TCAS is not just a massive project, it is also an experimental show that combines different types of animation, such as 2D, 3D, and traditional animation. We aim to mix 2D and 3D and to make combine hand-drawn and computer-generated images, and add details like speech bubbles or colors that bleed into each other purposefully (Something like spider-verse) We also aim to produce captivating and spectacular storylines that will appeal to everyone. The show will explore themes of rivalry, coming-of-age, and more.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a slew of professional 2D Animators, Background artists, Audio engineers, and Storybaorders to be a part of the studio throughout the pilot + season of TCAS, or our other projects. Folks cast for roles and positions will be asked to provide proof of experience and work on the CCC.

We are planning on making a crowdfunding campaign to support and pay for the production, marketing, and film festival release for The ChristianAnimations Show (TCAS). We also showcase all of our voice actors, producers, directors, and more on our website. The showcase includes members' photos, biographies, contact information, and links to a demo reel. Members are also listed verbally in the credits of each show.

Characters

ChristianAnimations: ChristianAnimations is the main lead of both CA Shorts and TCAS. ChristianAnimations is an ambitious and optimistic animator who loves to work on cartoons. He's always getting himself into trouble with many different things. While not being perfect, He always strives for progress and completion.

Doggy (Voiced by infectiousPink): Doggy is Christian's long-eared and bizarre pet dog. He is a funny, positive dog who wants nothing more than to be loyal, trustworthy, and reliable.

Lion Gamer (Voiced by Tommy): Lion gamer is the rageful gamer of the group. He may get angry at times, but all he wants to do is have a good time and be there for his friends.

Maayana (Voiced by craline sweets): Maayana is the sweet and bubbly pink calico cat, who loves to help out her friends and family. She is always going out of her way to help out her friends in any situation.

Anna (Voiced by Jenny): Anna is the most flexible and calm one in the group. She may want to focus on school more than trying to party with her friends, but she is helpful and when in her free time, loves to be with her best friend Maayana.

Alex Porker (Voiced by Voices By Corey): Alex is the nerdy and smart one of this group of cartoons. He loves to program animations to move and loves to work on video games for his friends and studios.

What is the pilot about?

Get ready for an exciting story! Alex is thrilled to introduce his friend Christian to an upcoming animation and entertainment convention. The highlight of the event is an animation contest, and the winner will receive a free internship at a top-notch animation studio in their town.

As Christian gears up to participate in the contest, he meets his rival, Jeff Scarlet. The fierce competition and Christian is determined to win the contest and secure the internship. But will he be able to outdo Jeff and emerge victorious, or will he lose the chance of a lifetime? Get ready to find out!

What to expect

When you arrive, Christian N., our studio leader and 2D animator, will greet you warmly. You'll be part of our CAs family, where you can interact with voice actors, animators, and storytellers from all over the world, all of whom offer a wealth of experience and knowledge. We primarily communicate through Discord. If you're unfamiliar with Discord, don't worry; you can still audition. However, we strongly recommend participating through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors. We'll be using Discord for other projects, and it has proven to be of immense value.

We offer a range of benefits to our employees, including opportunities for growth and development, exposure to a global community of creatives, and the chance to work on exciting and unique projects. We believe these benefits make us an excellent place to work.

Above all, have fun - we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something phenomenal. But that's not possible unless everyone involved is passionate about their craft.

Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics. There should be no air conditioners or fans in the background. We don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, but too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice. And speaking of clean-up, please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines. Leave that to our audio geniuses.

Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. Three is the gold standard. Some voice actors prefer to give us more takes, and that's okay, too. However, please remove at least the takes you don't want to be featured on the podcast.

Please submit your applications as a long text about yourself to our company email address or the CCC (the email will be provided to you after casting). If a file is too large to submit via email, we prefer to use Google email. We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly and only after great consideration. We realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.

Lastly, since we're planning at least 3+ seasons of TCAS, we'd like to cast people who can stick with us for a while. We're incredibly proud of the acting troupe we've formed over the years, and when starting a new project, we frequently return to voice actors we've worked with in the past.

At ChristianAnimations Studios, we strive to create unique and captivating animations. We started our independent studio in 2018, and since then, we've worked hard to create imaginative and engaging projects. We still have a long way to go before we can say we're a big studio, but we know we can make it there. We're passionate about our craft and take pride in our work, always striving to create the best animation possible, even if that means taking risks.

If we don't respond to your application, don't worry. It means we're reviewing all applications behind the scenes. We're looking for all kinds of talent and can't wait to push further with this show! Happy animating, and good luck ❤️

do you need any Voices?

Not as of right now. The roles in TCAS that are out right now are the ones that are listed as of right now.

I think you have a great will and determination for your work, but I feel like you’re going to have to excel in music, voices, and animation if you want your content to get far. To me it seems like you’re just turning yourself into a fictional character along with your friends, but that’s meerely an assumption.
I hope your animation does well, as I know for myself how hard it is to get anyone to pay interest into ones content. Keep trying man and please don’t take this as a hate comment, it’s just a critique or realistic criticism.

What do you mean by "turning yourself into a fictional character, along with your friends?" Is there something wrong with that?

@ChristianAnimations1 no not necessary. It’s just that it’s too obvious or comes off obviously becase your character is nammed Christian Animations and not just Christian. Same with your friends with gamer for example. I used to do the same thing too with my characters to be honest. I used to put numbers in their names but I changed it to be simpler, which you could try that too. In my opinion, it just comes off more unprofessional to call your character as the same as Christian Animations. It’s like making a character nammed SillySpring123YT instead of just Spring. I hope this helps.

Oh okay. I was just a bit confused because I don't have any friends named Lion Gamer or anything similar to that, so I didn't understand what you meant by "My friends," and about the whole "It’s like making a character named SillySpring123YT instead of just Spring" hope that clarifies things.
